PARENT'S COMMENT:

"We are thrilled that our child could be part of this fabulous program.  Her overall confidence has grown as well as her love for horses.

Through the program, she has learned some basic riding techniques. She learned the importance of following directions and to trust her instructors as they taught her how to guide her horse.

Horses may or may not always be a part of her life. However, her  experience will stay with her forever. Most importantly, it was fun for her.

She may not know that she developed greater confidence, trust and listening skills. All she knows is it made her very happy. When I watched her ride her face beamed with joy. It brought tears to my eyes just to see her shining expression and beautiful smile."

Don't forget to thank your trusty mount.

Student at the Washington International Horse Show

Attending the NARHA conference in Virginia Beach

Here is Jake with a member of his new sponsor family (actually with 2 members if you count the lab).  He has made the transition very nicely and his health is greatly improved with weight loss from confinement and careful feeding.  He is also enjoying the many hours his sponsor family is spending riding him with their other 2 horses.

And of course we couldn't do it without our volunteers
